What is Home Health?

Home health care provides skilled health care services anywhere that you call home. Magenta Care‘s home health team works collaboratively with you, your family and doctor to help you recover from surgery, illness or injury. In order to regain your independence, and become as self-sufficient as possible.

Magenta Care will provide the services you need based on an individual plan of care developed by your doctor with our clinical team. Some of the home health care services we offer include:

We offer specialized home health programs for patients with heart failure, COPD and conditions that increase their risk of falling.

Who would benefit from Home Health?

You or a loved one could benefit from home health care if you or they meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Recovering from illness, surgery, or hospitalization.
  • Frequently visit your doctor or the hospital
  • Can’t get out of the house without assistance.
  • Have a chronic illness such as COPD, heart disease, kidney disease, or diabetes
  • Age 65+ or any age with an underlying condition that can put you at risk of contracting a serious illness.
  • Need education to manage your illness, condition, surgery recovery effectively
What is IV therapy?

Infusion therapy is the administration of medication through an intravenous, or subcutaneous catheter placed by a healthcare professional. This catheter could be a peripheral IV, central line, midline, or port. It is usually prescribed when you or your loved one’s condition cannot be treated or cured with oral medication.

What are the types of IV therapy?

Home infusion therapy can be administered to patients of all ages in order to treat and manage many conditions. Magenta Care’s home infusion therapy team can provide many types of infusion therapy.

Some of the conditions that infusion therapy can treat are autoimmune disorders, nutritional or gastrointestinal disorders, infectious diseases, cancer and hematological disorders, immune deficiencies, and hemophilia.

Infusion therapy can also help patients with advanced illnesses manage their symptoms at home. Lastly, Infusion therapy is also used to provide transplantation support.

Who's eligible for Home
  • You or your loved one needs either skilled nursing care or therapy (infusion / physical / occupational / speech therapy) on an intermittent basis.
  • You or your loved one’s condition limits the ability to leave home, rendering you or them “homebound.”
  • You or your loved one’s doctor prescribes home health care.
Does Magenta Care accept health insurance?

Yes! However, we currently do not accept medicare or medicaid. We are hoping to change this soon. Home health and infusion care is covered by most insurance companies.
